We all became teachers to explore our love of science. Come build your content with scientists in the field and learn about multiple science topics through excursions and lectures. Then choose a unit you teach and revamp it with your new content and notebooking skills that increase student performance. Jennifer and her team of expert teachers will build out your unit with you and add in sketchnotes and templates.

Imagine yourself soaking in the sun on the private beach while you work on revamping a unit. Every day will have 3 meals, an excursion, a lecture, time to build a notebook unit with Jennifer and her team, and some time for a little R&R! Add on an extra excursion during your free time!

Science Topics We Will Cover

Bring new content to a unit in your curriculum!

We will touch on all science topics-all subjects are encouraged to attend:

  • Biology-ecosystems, conservation of dolphins and turtles, plants, community and marine ecology

  • Chemistry-coral reefs, mangroves, nutrient cycling, pH

  • Physics-waves, flood dynamics, thermodynamics, geomagnetism, optics, acoustics

  • Earth-rocks and minerals, weather, soil, hydrology

Nightly lectures and daily excursions will rotate between topics.

Learn the science and add it in a unit with island phenomenon.

We will create templates and teacher slides with you!

Accommodations and Pricing

Spots are limited to 20 teachers!

  • $2700-Triple Occupancy in a shared room with queen or twin beds (limited availability)

  • $3000-Double Occupancy in shared room with queen beds

  • $4500-Single Occupancy in a private room with a king or queen bed

    A NonRefundable $500 Down Payment is required to reserve a spot

    Pay in full or choose a monthly payment plan

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • A: No! Having a friend sign up with you is not necessary. When booking you have the option of choosing to have your own room or share with other teachers. We do our best to match people by personality to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and has fun!

  • A: This retreat is for everyone! We do ask that any male participants attend with a friend or partner so that they can share a bungalow or you have the option to purchase the whole bungalow.

  • A: From your connecting city, you will take a flight to Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (RTB) in Roatán. Airlines like United, American Airlines, and Delta offer connecting flights, especially from Dallas, Miami, Houston and Denver. Please note, this will most likely require you to fly overnight. If traveling from California, you will need to leave on 7/8 to arrive on 7/9. You will be picked up from the airport where you will take a short drive to the resort.

  • A: Your pricing includes transportation to and from the airport, lodging, food and all non-alcoholic beverages as well as the listed excursions stated above.

  • A: Your $500 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration. Payment in full is due by 6/1/26. Monthly payment options are available at checkout.

  • A: Deposits are non-refundable. Payment installments are non-refundable after payment unless your spot is filled by another participant. Any refunds will incur a $150 transaction fee and exclude the $500 deposit. Full refunds are provided if the retreat is canceled due to low enrollment. It is advised that you purchase travel insurance to cover any instances outside of these
