The Phenomenal Science Teaching Leadership Academy is a 5-month experience for science teachers who want to strengthen what happens in their own classrooms—and learn how to help great science teaching spread beyond them.
Through a guided study of Ambitious Science Teaching, purposeful notebooking strategies, real classroom examples, coaching, and implementation, you'll grow your teaching practice first. Then you'll build the confidence and leadership skills to share what works with colleagues and help strengthen science instruction across your department.

Throughout the academy, we'll use Ambitious Science Teaching as a shared professional text to deepen our thinking about effective science instruction.
The Leadership Academy is not an Ambitious Science Teaching training or certification program. Instead, we'll study ideas from the book, examine how they show up in real classrooms, and connect our learning to purposeful notebooking, implementation, reflection, and teacher leadership.

Hi, I’m Jennifer!
I’m Jennifer Weibert—a former science teacher turned coach who’s helped thousands of educators rethink how they use notebooks, visual thinking, and high-impact strategies to make science meaningful.
I have been in science education for over 25 years. I hold a masters in Educational Leadership and teach science methods courses at multiple universities.
I created the Phenomenal Science Teaching Leadership Academy because great science teaching shouldn't stop at one classroom. We'll strengthen your practice first, then build the confidence and leadership skills to help what works spread to colleagues, departments, and beyond.
